Narayan Man Bijukchhe at Reporters Clum


Chariman of the Nepal Workers Peasants Party, Narayan Man Bijukchhe'Rohit' is the popular politician who has been elected various elections from Bhaktapur. Born on March 9, 1940 at Sukuldhoka of Bhaktpur, he is contesting the CA election from Bhaktpur-1. Son of Ganesh Man and Surya Maya Bijukchhe, he has Bachelor's Degree in Humanities. 
He became a communist sympathizer around 1954. Around 1956 he joined the Students Federation and became a member of Communist Party led by Puspa Lal Shrestha in 1970. Later, he founded the Nepal Workers and Peasants Organization(which later became the Nepal Workers Peasants Party) on January 23, 1975. He is leading the Party from then. In the first Constituent Assembly Election of 2008, he received 19,972 votes from Bhaktapur-1, defeating his closest rival Debendra Shrestha of UCPN- Maoist. Shrestha received 11,548 votes while another opponent Mahesh Shrestha of NC received 8,281 votes.
